I designed and built these traditional printing presses with middle school students from Queens, NY, as part of an exploration
into 19th century factory conditions, labor history, and womens rights. They built the presses themselves according to my design,
wrote period diary entries and labor contracts, and used a re-usable casting material called
Composimold to cast slugs and make prints. Beam Center, 2018.
