Hydroponics and rain harvesting systems built at various New York City public schools.
This mobile hydroponics garden was designed and built with West Brooklyn Community High School Science
Interns. We developed the design
through a collaborative design process. The structure was
conceptualized as a life sciences teaching tool, space to hang out, and semi-private sanctuary.
The garden lives in the school cafeteria.
Beam Center, 2017.
Rain water harvesting shed and garden built with middle school students from Queens, NY. The shed was inspired
by the book Long Walk to Water, by Linda Sue Park. It incorporated a series of hand painted images on wheels that were
activated by rainfall. Beam Center, 2016.
