SMALL CHANGE MARKET

A collectively organized annual fundraiser, organized by clay club, to raise money for community legal funds.

Clay club members learned how to slipcast together and make a unique cup each year by etching into plaster casts or marbling colored pigment into slip. We sell hot drinks and whiskey kindly donated by local businesses out of the cups, and have raised over $8000 dollars between our 2019, 2022 and 2023 markets. Brooklyn, 2019-present.

2023

The 2023 fundraiser included a variety of art and ceramics artists, jewelry made from Riis beach shells by Mads Moore and Donnie Zakheim, pocket planters by Serena Seshadri and Em Eason, and custom airbrushing from Sarah Lammer. It also included a station for sending mail to presentatives calling for them to divest from militarism.

2022

The 2022 fundraiser included a variety of art and ceramics artists, prints by Serena Seshadri, Em Eason, and Patrick Costello, music curation by Evelyn Manlove, and custom airbrushing from Sarah Lammer.

2019

The 2019 market included a variety of handmade crafts, art by Patrick Costello and Tim Fite, custom airbrushing from Sarah Lammer, and live analog video art experiences by Allen Riley.
