KNITCHITECTURE

Kids at Beam Camp built giant knitting needles out of paper mache and cardboard tubes, learned to knit, and used their handmade tools to create enormous accessories and human sized tubular structures. Some of us made giant pom poms, too! We called it 'knitchitecture'. We played games with our creations and put on a fashion show. Beam Camp, 2015.

KNITCHITECTURE 2.0

Kids at Beam Summer Day built and used giant knitting machines to create colorful tubular structures out of recycled fabric. We filled the knitted structures with bouncy balls and played games with our creations. Beam Summer Day, 2017.
